On March 4, police in Belgium launched raids on several addresses, and 22 people linked with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were detained. PKK leaders Zübeyir Aydar and Remzi Kartal and Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) leader Haji Ahmadi were among those arrested. The arrests followed a three-year-long investigation.
